Vietnam lottery payouts exceed 1.6 billion dong after massive ticket wins

On 3 August 2026 Vietnamese lottery operators posted the latest draw results. A ticket dealer in Lâm Đồng, Hồng Phúc, reported exchanging 42 winning tickets that together were worth more than 1.6 billion dong. The tickets belonged to four different winners: 32 consolation‑prize tickets, 10 promotional‑prize tickets and a single jackpot ticket. The dealer said one winner received 16 consolation tickets, another 10, a third 6, and the fourth collected the 10 promotional tickets.

In a related case, a ticket dealer in Tây Ninh, Lan Hùng Tú, said a man from Đồng Nai had won nine jackpot tickets on the same draw, each bearing the number 050416, for a total jackpot prize of about 18 billion dong before tax. The winner reportedly received the cash payout and planned to deposit the money in a bank.

Both incidents illustrate the scale of recent lottery payouts in southern Vietnam, where large prize amounts are being claimed by multiple individuals across several provinces.
