Vietnam lottery winners claim 2 billion VND jackpots

Two separate lottery winners in Vietnam have recently claimed jackpots worth 2 billion VND each (before taxes).

In the first instance, a female worker in Tay Ninh won the Ho Chi Minh City Southern Lottery on August 31 with the number 061923. The win occurred after she repaid a 20,000 VND debt to a colleague; since the colleague could not recall the loan, they decided to buy two lottery tickets and split them. Both individuals won the jackpot. The Tú Vé Số agency in Ho Chi Minh City facilitated the cash payout at the winner's home.

In a second case, a man from Ba Diem won the Binh Phuoc Southern Lottery on September 5 with the number 889342. He purchased the ticket from a street vendor while attending a wedding in Tay Ninh. The Mỹ Hạnh agency in Ho Chi Minh City processed his prize via bank transfer. The winner intends to use a portion of the funds for his family and the remainder for business ventures.
