Vietnam Ministry of Education and Suntory PepsiCo sign environmental education pact

The Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam have signed a cooperation agreement to implement an educational and communication program for students from 2026 to 2029. The initiative focuses on raising awareness regarding clean water, environmental protection, and healthy lifestyles.

Targeting approximately 1.8 million primary school students, the program will integrate water conservation and school sanitation topics into academic subjects and extracurricular activities. Planned support includes the installation of roughly 50 water filtration systems and improvements to sanitation facilities in disadvantaged areas.

The new phase also expands to include physical education and nature-based experiences. The partnership aims to upgrade facilities and equipment for physical activities at 5 to 10 universities annually. This collaboration builds upon the ‘Mizuiku – I Love Clean Water’ initiative, which was originally established by the Suntory Group in Japan and introduced to Vietnam in 2015.
