Vietnam Ministry of Education conducts cyber drills and vocational reforms

The Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) has initiated several measures to modernize its educational and security frameworks. The Ministry recently conducted a practical cybersecurity drill involving simulated attacks on its information systems and those of its subordinate units. The exercise focused on enhancing defensive capabilities, including detecting attack signs, verifying incidents, containing threats, and restoring systems to mitigate the growing complexity of cyber risks.

Additionally, the Ministry issued Circular No. 72/2026/TT-BGDĐT to regulate cooperation and linkages in vocational education. This new policy aims to bridge the gap between theoretical training and labor market demands by fostering partnerships between educational institutions, businesses, research institutes, and technology organizations. The circular allows for joint development of training programs, shared use of facilities, and practical internships to ensure students possess skills that meet current economic needs.
