Vietnam Ministry of Finance proposes free entry to museums and national parks
The Vietnamese Ministry of Finance is seeking public opinion on a draft circular that would provide free admission to various museums, historical sites, and national parks every year on November 24, designated as Vietnam Culture Day.
The proposal includes ten specific groups of locations: the Oceanographic Museum, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, the Museum of Cultures of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, the National Museum of History, the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, the Independence Palace, the Yersin Museum, the Vietnam Women's Museum, the Vietnam Military History Museum, and several national parks including Bach Ma, Cuc Phuong, Ba Vi, Tam Dao, Yok Don, and Cat Tien.
According to the Ministry, the policy aims to facilitate access to cultural, historical, and natural heritage for all citizens, particularly students and low-income individuals. The initiative is intended to foster national pride and patriotism while stimulating tourism and related service sectors such as transportation, accommodation, and dining.
