Vietnam Ministry of Finance proposes lottery business penalties

The Ministry of Finance is drafting a new decree to regulate administrative penalties in the lottery business sector. This initiative aims to synchronize existing regulations with recent legal changes, including the Law on Anti-Money Laundering and the Law on Anti-Terrorism.

The proposed draft consists of 32 articles across four chapters. It includes provisions for 19 types of violations, specific penalties, and remedial measures, as well as defining the authority for issuing violation reports and administering fines. A key feature of the proposal is the potential for maximum fines to reach 200 million VND to ensure effective management and compliance among businesses and lottery agents.
