Vietnam Ministry of Home Affairs issues guidance on staff reduction policies

The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued official guidance regarding the implementation of staff reduction policies under Decree No. 154/2025/ND-CP. This directive aims to address the impact of organizational restructuring on various sectors, with a specific focus on the education industry and non-specialized personnel at the grassroots level.

Regarding the education sector, the Ministry has requested that local authorities align the reorganization of educational institutions with the need to resolve localized teacher shortages. This includes shifting personnel from management and administrative roles to direct teaching positions to prepare for the 2026-2027 school year. Localities are also instructed to review and restructure teacher and support staff deployment in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training.
