Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade launches daily innovation movement

The Ministry of Industry and Trade held a ceremony in Hanoi to launch the ‘Daily Initiative’ emulation movement for 2026. The event also marked the start of the ‘Innovation Solutions - Digital Transformation in the Industry and Trade Sector’ competition.

Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang stated that science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation are primary drivers for improving productivity, competitiveness, and national autonomy. The Ministry aims to address three major challenges: ensuring energy security, achieving industrial autonomy through higher localization rates, and modernizing trade via smart logistics and reliable supply chains.

The movement is designed to turn the spirit of innovation into regular, practical actions across agencies, businesses, and educational institutions within the sector.
