Vietnam Ministry of Public Security seeks three suspects in overthrow case
The Ministry of Public Security's Security Investigation Agency has resumed an investigation into a case involving activities aimed at overthrowing the people's government. The case involves activities occurring in Nghệ An and several other provinces.
Authorities have issued requests for three suspects—Nguyễn Xuân Kim, Lê Sỹ Sáng, and Thái Văn Tự—to surrender to the police. The suspects were originally indicted and placed on wanted lists in early 2012. The charges fall under provisions regarding activities to overthrow the government, as defined in the Penal Code.
The Ministry has urged the public to assist in locating the individuals and stated that anyone who discovers their whereabouts has the right to apprehend them and deliver them to the nearest police station, procuracy, or local people's committee.
