Vietnam proposes monthly subsidies for digital transformation specialists

Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology is drafting a circular to define specific job positions dedicated to digital transformation that would be eligible for a monthly support allowance of 5 million VND, pursuant to Decree 179/2025/NĐ-CP. The proposed eligible groups include civil servants from central to commune levels, public employees in service units, and leaders or managers directly in charge of digital transformation, digital economy, and digital society sectors.

In Quang Ninh province, the Tax Branch 1 is implementing digital transformation strategies by modernizing leadership methods and utilizing data-driven management. Efforts include training hundreds of officials in digital tools and providing community-level assistance to help citizens install the eTax Mobile application for managing non-agricultural land use taxes.
