Vietnam music industry sees unprecedented concert boom

The final quarter of 2026 is seeing an unprecedented surge in the Vietnamese music industry, characterized by a dense schedule of large-scale concerts across the country. On October 17 alone, four major events occurred in Ho Chi Minh City, including the 'Anh trai vượt ngàn chông gai' (Brother Overcoming Thousands of Obstacles) concert, the 'Tinh hà Say Hi' series, Phùng Khánh Linh’s 'Một vạn tour', and Tiffany’s 'Edge of Calm'.

This boom has led to increased competition among producers and artists, resulting in higher investments in production, media, and technical quality. A single large-scale concert can cost upwards of 20 billion VND, covering stage design, sound, lighting, and operations. To manage these costs, organizers are increasingly partnering with major brands. Financial institutions like Techcombank and TPBank, along with beverage brands such as Heineken and Tiger, are playing significant roles as sponsors for these major concert series.

Preparations for the 'Anh trai vượt ngàn chông gai' 2026 concerts are currently underway at The Global City for performances scheduled on October 17 and 18. Artists have begun stage rehearsals, supported by fan-organized food trucks and logistical preparations.
