Vietnam National Academy of Music hosts “Echoes of Time” concert
The “Echoes of Time” concert was held by the Jazz-Accordion-Organ Department as part of the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam National Academy of Music (1956–2026). The event served as a bridge between Vietnamese musical traditions and international art forms, emphasizing the continuity and innovation of music across generations.
The program honored the pioneers who established the Electone discipline at the Academy since the 1990s, including the late Professor Nguyen Trong Bang, Professor Tran Thu Ha, and Associate Professor Luu Quang Minh. It also highlighted long-standing international artistic connections, specifically noting the involvement of Professor Suguru Agata from Japan.
The concert featured a diverse repertoire, including works by J.S. Bach, Tchaikovsky, Bizet, Chopin, Astor Piazzolla, and Richard Galliano. International performers included Nishioka Natsuko and Yukino Ichikawa from Japan, Zhang Le from China, and Kim Dajeong from South Korea, performing alongside Vietnamese faculty and artists using instruments such as the Electone, accordion, piano, and guitar.
