Vietnam National Assembly establishes new parliamentary groups

The National Assembly of Vietnam has established two new organizational structures for its 16th tenure.

First, a Group of Specialized Local National Assembly Delegates has been formed following Resolution No. 274/NQ-UBTVQH16. This group includes specialized group leaders, deputy leaders, and voluntary specialized delegates from various provinces and cities. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City delegation, has been appointed Chairperson. The group aims to create a forum for exchanging experiences in legislation, supervision, and constituent engagement.

Second, the Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Organization has been officially established. National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented the resolution to Do Van Chien, who will serve as the Chairman of the organization. This body includes various friendship groups with different countries and is tasked with managing parliamentary relations between Vietnam and foreign legislatures. The organization's leadership consists of a Chairperson, three Vice Chairpersons, and a General Secretary.
