Vietnam National Assembly opens second session of 16th term

The second session of the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam has officially commenced in Hanoi, chaired by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

During the session, General Secretary and President To Lam presided over a formal welcoming ceremony for Swiss President Guy Parmelin during his official visit to Vietnam.

Legislative activities include discussions on several draft laws, such as the Law on Small and Medium Enterprises, amendments to the Law on Securities, and updates to the Law on Accounting and Independent Auditing. Additionally, the assembly is reviewing proposals regarding the Law on International Agreements and the Criminal Procedure Code. Other agenda items include reports on the Ho Chi Minh Road construction projects and economic development plans.
