Vietnam National Assembly President meets Mongolian Ambassador

Tran Thanh Man, President of the National Assembly of Vietnam, received Mongolian Ambassador Ganbaatar Hulan in Hanoi to mark the beginning of her mandate. The meeting focused on strengthening the ‘Vietnam-Mongolia Global Partnership’ established during President To Lam’s state visit to Mongolia in September 2024.

Both parties emphasized enhancing parliamentary cooperation through regular high-level exchanges and the creation of dialogue mechanisms between the two legislative bodies. Economic cooperation remains a priority, with discussions aimed at increasing bilateral trade from current levels toward targets of 200 million USD and eventually 500 million USD.

Ambassador Hulan expressed Mongolia’s view of Vietnam as a ‘third neighbor’ and a key partner in Southeast Asia, pledging to work toward deeper bilateral ties during her tenure.
