Vietnam national team schedule announced for 2027 Asian Cup
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has officially released the match schedule for the 2027 Asian Cup. Vietnam, led by coach Kim Sang-sik, has been placed in Group E alongside South Korea, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Yemen.
Vietnam is scheduled to play its opening match against the UAE on January 11, 2027, at 20:30 in Riyadh. This will be followed by a match against South Korea on January 15, 2027, at 17:30, and a final group stage encounter against Yemen on January 20, 2027, at 20:30.
Despite recent security concerns in Saudi Arabia, the AFC has decided against postponing the tournament, following a meeting in Tokyo. The group stage matches are set to take place during favorable time slots for Vietnamese viewers, including 17:30, 20:30, 23:30, and 00:00 (local time).
