Vietnam National Technology Innovation Fund disburses 3.9 billion VND

The National Technology Innovation Fund (NATIF), under the Ministry of Science and Technology, has reported its budget implementation for the first nine months of 2026. The fund has disbursed approximately 3,911.5 million VND, reaching 72.5% of its annual budget estimate of 5,391.9 million VND.

All expenditures are directed toward science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. In September 2026, NATIF announced it would accept applications for technology innovation tasks specifically involving Artificial Intelligence (AI). These tasks, which aim to develop practical AI-driven products, services, or processes, are eligible for state funding of up to 3 billion VND per task with a maximum implementation period of 12 months.

To improve accessibility, NATIF is designing an online application process and hosting a series of direct dialogues with businesses. The fund also aims to shorten appraisal times and simplify procedures while maintaining strict post-inspection oversight to ensure budget resources are used appropriately.
