Vietnam National University Hanoi sets entry score floor for 12 campuses

Vietnam National University (VNU) in Hanoi announced that the minimum admission score for its 12 member universities will be 19 points out of 30, before any weighting. The threshold applies to all curricula, with special programmes such as teacher training, law and health required to meet at least the same level. VNU expects to admit around 22,000 undergraduate students across 166 programmes, most of them at its Hòa Lạc campus.

Separately, Hanoi’s high schools released their 2025 graduation exam rankings. In mathematics, the University of Education’s specialized school moved to first place, overtaking the Natural Sciences and Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai schools. In literature, Lê Quý Đôn High School rose from third to the top position. Private schools performed well in English, with Dewey, Harmony, Nguyễn Siêu and Marie Curie among the leaders.
