Vietnam parents face textbook shortages ahead of new school year

Parents in several Vietnamese provinces, including Ha Tinh and Ca Mau, are expressing anxiety over the shortage of textbooks and workbooks as the new school year approaches.

In Ha Tinh, families report difficulty finding specific sets such as 'Ket noi tri thuc voi cuoc song' and various subjects for primary, secondary, and high school levels. Some parents are also concerned about the availability of specific workbooks, noting that older versions are being replaced by new editions, which may cause inconsistencies among students in the same class.

In Ca Mau, parents have reported being unable to find essential books for subjects like Natural Science, Literature, and Mathematics for students entering grades 3, 6, and 9. While some local authorities and suppliers claim that supplies are being prepared to ensure no student is left without materials, many families continue to search multiple bookstores to complete their children's required reading lists.
