Vietnam agricultural markets: Pork and pepper price updates
Agricultural commodity markets in Vietnam are showing varied trends for pork and pepper.
Pork prices as of mid-October 2026 fluctuate between 51,000 and 54,000 VND/kg. In the North, prices are mostly stable around 53,000 VND/kg, with Hai Phong and Dien Bien reaching the high of 54,000 VND/kg. The Central region shows mixed results; Nghệ An saw a slight increase to 52,000 VND/kg, while Đắk Lắk and Hà Tĩnh recorded the lowest prices at 51,000 VND/kg. In the South, prices remain steady, with Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, and Ca Mau at 54,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices have seen an upward trend in the domestic market, reaching between 137,500 and 140,000 VND/kg. Lâm Đồng maintains the highest price at 140,000 VND/kg. This domestic increase follows a period of rising prices in key regions like Dak Lak and Gia Lai. On the global market, prices remain relatively stable, with Vietnamese black pepper (500 g/l) priced at approximately 5,950 USD/ton.
