Vietnam police arrest 12 suspects in $38 million holiday‑contract fraud

Ho Chi Minh City police arrested twelve alleged members of a scheme that sold fraudulent "holiday contracts" through the company Holidays Vietnam. The fraud reportedly involved nearly 10,000 contracts and siphoned about 900 billion VND (roughly US$38 million) from victims.

Investigators said the group organized large seminars, persuaded clients to invest, and then used deceitful tactics to extract additional funds. Authorities sealed assets worth about 130 billion VND and are continuing to trace the money and identify other participants. The principal alleged ringleader is identified as Nguyễn Danh Thành, with senior business director Đinh Sơn Hải cited as a key operative. Victims are urged to contact the police for assistance and to report any similar offers.
