Vietnam police arrest repeat thieves in Ha Tinh motorbike theft and Da Nang phone robbery

In Ha Tinh province, police arrested Thân Chí Lương, a 1998‑born repeat offender, for stealing a Yamaha Sirius motorbike on 8 June and two additional motorcycles in nearby districts. After selling the stolen bikes for cash, Lương moved between several locations to evade capture. He was detained on 14 July, charged with theft and placed in temporary custody while the investigation continues.

In Da Nang city, authorities detained 43‑year‑old Phan Tấn Thọ, who has two prior theft convictions, for snatching a 20‑year‑old woman’s mobile phone on 8 July. Thọ altered his motorcycle’s license plates and helmet to avoid identification, posted the stolen phone for sale online, and was apprehended within 24 hours. He has been charged with robbery and is being held pending further investigation.
