Vietnam police arrest jewelry firm executives in fake luxury goods crackdown

Police investigators from Thanh Hoa province, working with Ho Chi Minh City authorities, dismantled a network that manufactured and sold more than 10,000 counterfeit luxury jewelry items. The operation seized over 300 fake bracelets, necklaces and rings, as well as polishing, laser‑welding and gold‑coating equipment, and recovered chemicals used in production. Authorities estimate the illegal trade generated roughly 30 billion VND in illicit profit.

The raid resulted in the arrest of the director of Wii Diamonds and the deputy director of Helia Fine Jewelry, Dao Thu Trang, together with several managers, sales staff and craftsmen. The suspects have been charged with smuggling and violating intellectual‑property rights, and are being prosecuted for illegal manufacturing and distribution of counterfeit products bearing the names of brands such as Van Cleef, Bvlgari, Cartier, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co and Chrome Hearts.
