Vietnam police dismantle heroin trafficking operations

Police in Vietnam have dismantled two separate drug trafficking operations involving heroin.

In Hung Yen province, authorities arrested construction foreman Đỗ Duy Đức, along with workers Nguyễn Văn Cương and Lường Văn Hưng. Investigations revealed that Đức provided funds to Cương to purchase heroin, which was intended to be distributed among construction workers as payment or for resale. The group was intercepted in Hung Yen while transporting approximately 17.56 grams of heroin back to Hanoi.

In a separate major operation in Lai Chau province, law enforcement successfully seized eight bricks of heroin. Following digital traces on social media, police identified a connection between individuals in Dien Bien and Lai Chau provinces. The operation, involving the Ministry of Public Security and border guards, led to the apprehension of Liều A Sổ and Thào A Chô during a large-scale drug transaction.
