Lexus driver under investigation after multi-car highway collision
Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle collision on the Pháp Vân - Cầu Giẽ Expressway in Hanoi that occurred around 1:30 PM on September 15. The accident involved three vehicles: a Lexus, a 16-seat passenger bus, and a smaller car.
Dashcam footage and preliminary investigations by the Traffic Police Department indicate that the Lexus driver exhibited dangerous driving behavior, including swerving and cutting off other vehicles, before abruptly stopping in the middle of the highway. This maneuver caused the following vehicles to collide, resulting in heavy damage to all three cars and injuring two people.
The Traffic Police Department has assessed the incident as having signs of criminal activity. The case file and relevant evidence have been transferred to the Phú Xuyên District Police for further legal processing.
