Vietnam police summer‑camp scam warns parents
Authorities in Tiền Hải commune, Hưng Yên province have alerted parents to a fraud scheme that masquerades as police‑run summer camps and training courses such as “Trại hè Công an” and “Học kỳ Công an.”
Scammers create social‑media pages and online groups using police logos and images, then advertise appealing activities – discipline training, life‑skills, martial arts and police tours – to lure families. Victims are asked to provide personal details and transfer deposits or fees to private accounts, after which the money is stolen.
Police urge the public not to send money or personal data to unverified organizers, to verify any program through official channels, and to report suspicious offers. The force will continue public awareness efforts and crack down on high‑tech fraud targeting citizens.
