Vietnam Politburo issues new regulations on Party coordination and member responsibilities

Vietnam's Politburo has issued new regulations to enhance institutional coordination and clarify the responsibilities of Party members.

The National Assembly Party Committee will increase coordination with central Party agencies, the Government, and the Fatherland Front. This includes joint leadership in preparing legislative programs, law projects, and personnel structures for the Government. Coordination will also extend to the Central Military Commission and the Central Public Security Party Committee regarding defense, security, and National Assembly personnel matters.

Additionally, Decision 221 outlines the responsibilities of working Party members toward the organizations and people in their places of residence. The decision specifies conditions under which members may be exempt from local Party activities, such as those undergoing long-term medical treatment or those working in mobile or remote roles. It also establishes protocols for members working in the military, police, or diplomatic services who may be exempt from certain local residency reporting requirements due to the nature of their duties.
