Vietnam Post warns of delivery-themed phishing scams

Vietnam Post has issued an urgent warning regarding a new phishing scam targeting online shoppers. Fraudulent actors are impersonating the postal service by sending messages claiming that a delivery is pending but requires an address update.

These deceptive messages often include convincing details such as tracking numbers or delivery times to build trust. They direct recipients to click on malicious links that lead to fraudulent websites. Once clicked, these links can install malware on devices or steal sensitive information, including personal data, bank account details, login passwords, and OTP codes. Scammers use this stolen information to seize funds from bank accounts or take control of online accounts. Vietnam Post advises the public to avoid clicking on any suspicious links sent via text message or email.
