On 30 July 2026, the National Assembly of Vietnam convened a supervision forum in the Thăng Long Hall of the Parliament building in Hanoi. The agenda called for proposals to remove bottlenecks, strengthen early‑risk warning, enhance accountability and shift supervisory focus toward monitoring the implementation of laws and policies.

Vice Premier Lê Tiến Châu highlighted the need to move supervision from merely identifying issues to actively supporting law‑enforcement and policy execution. The forum is organized under the 2025 Law on the Activities of the National Assembly and People's Council and follows the rollout of the two‑tier local government model.
