Vietnam President To Lam Meets South Korean Transport Minister Kim Yun-duk

General Secretary and President To Lam received South Korean Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Yun-duk in Hanoi on July 30, 2026. The leaders discussed deepening economic cooperation and reaffirmed Vietnam's commitment to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with South Korea. To Lam highlighted the goal of reaching US$150 billion in bilateral trade by 2030 and urged cooperation in infrastructure development, renewable energy, shipbuilding technology and high‑quality human‑resource training. Kim conveyed greetings from President Lee Jae Myung, presented a letter confirming Seoul's readiness to share development experience, and pledged continued support for Vietnam’s national development strategies.
