Vietnam President To Lam urges youth to lead science, technology and digital innovation

At the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President and General Secretary To Lam called on Vietnamese young people to adopt a "new spirit"—thinking broadly, learning quickly, performing better, living responsibly and contributing more. He urged them to master science and technology, turn knowledge into products, and create value for the nation.

Youth leaders and students responded by outlining programmes to strengthen education, foster research and entrepreneurship, and build digital ecosystems. Initiatives include AI‑driven learning apps for medical students, university‑wide support for innovation, and increased opportunities for startups and community projects, aiming to translate the leadership’s trust into concrete outcomes for Vietnam’s development.

The speech seeks to mobilise the next generation as a driving force in the country’s digital transformation and high‑tech advancement.
