Vietnam Prime Minister Le Minh Hung Sets Aug 10 Deadline to Implement Party Plenum Resolutions

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung instructed all ministries, sectors and local authorities to issue or update action plans for the third plenum of the Communist Party of Vietnam's resolutions no later than 10 August. The July government meeting highlighted that the macro‑economy remained broadly stable, with the consumer price index falling 0.12 % in July and seven‑month inflation averaging 4.39 %.

State budget revenue reached about 1.83 quadrillion VND (US$70 billion), 72.5 % of the annual target, while public‑investment disbursement hit 425.3 trillion VND (41.9 % of the plan). Foreign direct investment saw new capital commitments rise 58 % to US$38.06 billion and disbursements increase 11.8 % to US$15.2 billion. Total trade in the first seven months grew 28.1 % to US$659.6 billion.

The prime minister also urged the rapid preparation of 24 draft laws for the National Assembly’s first extraordinary session and about 40 drafts for the October session, including a law to extend support to individual and household small‑and‑medium‑sized enterprises. He called for tighter discipline, faster issuance of detailed regulations, and close monitoring of implementation amid external challenges such as regional conflicts, a slowing global economy, and the upcoming rainy season.
