Vietnam promotes cashew market expansion in Argentina

A business seminar was held in Buenos Aires to promote the expansion of the Vietnamese cashew market in Argentina. The event included participation from the Vietnamese Ambassador, Ngo Minh Nguyet, and representatives from the Vietnam Cashew Association (VINACAS).

Ngo Manh Khoi, head of the Vietnamese Commercial Office in Argentina, noted that while Vietnam possesses a highly competitive processing industry, local companies must better understand Argentine buyer requirements regarding quality, specifications, and stable supply capacities to expand their presence. The Commercial Office intends to support these connections through product sampling and negotiations.

According to VINACAS Vice President Nguyen Minh Hoa, the Vietnamese cashew industry reached a milestone in 2025, with export values exceeding $5 billion for the first time, reaching $5.43 billion compared to $4.34 billion in 2024. Vietnam maintains its position as the global leader in cashew processing and exports, accounting for approximately 80% of the world market share. Currently, Vietnamese cashews are exported to over 112 countries and territories, with China recently surpassing the United States as the largest export market.
