Vietnam promotes film production at Busan International Film Festival
The Vietnam Film Development Association (VFDA) officially opened the Vietnam Cinema Pavilion at the Asia Contents & Film Market (ACFM) during the 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF 2026) in South Korea.
The initiative aims to promote Vietnam's filmmaking environment, showcase local filming locations such as Hanoi and Da Nang, and attract international investment. To facilitate this, the VFDA introduced the Production Attraction Index (PAI), designed to help international producers evaluate the conditions for launching projects in Vietnam.
The pavilion has attracted significant interest from global industry professionals, including directors and producers from the Philippines, Kyrgyzstan, and France. Additionally, the VFDA is using the platform to promote the Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF), positioning it as a strategic bridge between Vietnamese cinema and the broader Asian region.
