Vietnam promotes green industrial zones and SME development
Phu Tho province is prioritizing the development of green industrial zones to drive sustainable economic growth and attract high-quality investment. The province is focusing on high-tech, environmentally friendly projects, investing in wastewater treatment, environmental monitoring, and renewable energy. In the Phu Ha Industrial Zone, BYD Vietnam is a major FDI enterprise with projected 2025 revenues exceeding $3.7 billion, expected to employ approximately 20,000 people by 2026. Additionally, CNCTech Group is developing the Nam Binh Xuyen Green Park following a smart and sustainable model integrated with circular economy principles.
In a separate development regarding small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (VINASME) is marking 20 years of operation. The association has focused on enhancing management capacity and legal knowledge through training programs. For example, Vinh Hoa Foods, a specialty food company from Thanh Hoa, has successfully utilized e-commerce to expand its market reach following the shifts in consumer behavior caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
