Vietnam proposes discipline for former Deputy Minister Trần Quý Kiên

The Central Inspection Commission of Vietnam has proposed disciplinary action against former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Trần Quý Kiên and Nguyễn Thị Gái, the former General Director of Dong Nai Rubber Corporation.

During its 11th meeting chaired by Trần Sỹ Thanh, the Commission concluded that both individuals suffered from political, ethical, and lifestyle degradation. They were found to have violated Party regulations and State laws in the performance of their duties, as well as failing to uphold the responsibilities of exemplary conduct. The Commission noted these violations caused “very serious consequences” and negatively impacted the reputation of their respective organizations and local authorities.

Additionally, the Commission reviewed the supervision results of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as well as the Southern Food Corporation. While noting certain achievements, the Commission identified several shortcomings and instructed these bodies to conduct self-criticism and implement plans to rectify the identified violations.
