Vietnam provinces implement Resolution 57 for digital and scientific growth
Provinces in Vietnam are implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW from the Politburo, which focuses on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
In Lao Cai, the healthcare sector is utilizing scientific research and digital transformation to improve medical services. At Lao Cai General Hospital No. 1, medical staff have mastered advanced techniques, such as mechanical thrombectomy for acute cerebral infarction and non-invasive ventilation for respiratory failure. These advancements allow patients to receive high-tech treatment locally, reducing the need for transfers to central hospitals.
In Phu Tho, the digital economy now accounts for approximately 22.71% of the provincial GRDP, ranking third among 34 provinces. The region has achieved 100% 5G coverage in commune and ward centers and hosts around 600 digital technology enterprises.
Tay Ninh is focusing on strategic technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The province has identified key development areas such as the carbon credit market, renewable energy, and the creation of an autonomous AI ecosystem. Additionally, automated self-service kiosks for medical registration are being deployed in local hospitals.
