Vietnam provinces implement science and technology initiatives

Vietnamese provinces Hà Tĩnh and Tây Ninh are actively implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW to drive advancements in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

In Hà Tĩnh, local authorities are focusing on applying scientific research to practical production. A notable example is An Phát Science and Technology Co., Ltd., which has successfully developed a production process for instant and tea bag products using young rice sprouts and pennywort. The company has achieved a production capacity of 12 tons per year, with an estimated annual revenue of 1.6 billion VND, effectively increasing the value of local raw materials.

Tây Ninh is concentrating on resolving bottlenecks to establish a foundation for digital government and infrastructure. The province has completed 62% of tasks assigned by the Central Government and 27% of its own provincial tasks. Key achievements include connecting the specialized data transmission network to 100% of provincial departments and commune-level People's Committees. Efforts are also underway to standardize data, improve information system operations, and expand 5G coverage.
