Vietnam provinces strengthen forest and wildlife protection
Authorities in Vietnam are intensifying efforts to protect forests and manage wildlife across different provinces. In Lâm Đồng, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is focusing on preventing illegal deforestation, land encroachment by migrants, and forest fires. The province aims to utilize digital transformation, including GIS and remote sensing, to improve monitoring and early warning capabilities for forest management.
In Phú Thọ, the Hòa Bình Forest Protection Unit held a conference to disseminate legal regulations regarding the management, protection, and breeding of wild animals. The initiative aims to increase awareness among organizations and individuals involved in wildlife breeding to prevent illegal activities. Currently, the area manages 31 wildlife breeding facilities containing 2,406 individuals, including 359 endangered or rare species that require strict oversight of their origin and breeding processes.
