Vietnam provinces transition to high-value agricultural processing

Provinces in Vietnam, including Quang Ngai and Bac Ninh, are undergoing significant agricultural restructuring by shifting from raw production to deep processing and high-value economic models.

In Quang Ngai, businesses are investing in modern technology such as drying lines, cold storage, and traceability systems to enhance product value. For example, TBT Agriculture Co., Ltd. has implemented cold storage technology to reduce losses and improve the quality of organic rice. In Ly Son, companies like Phu Sinh Trading and Service Co., Ltd. are moving from selling raw garlic to producing processed goods like black garlic to increase brand value.

Similarly, Bac Ninh is focusing on developing ecological agriculture and standardized raw material zones. The province aims to transition its mindset from “agricultural production” to “agricultural economy,” utilizing science, technology, and digital transformation as primary drivers. This strategy emphasizes building multi-value agriculture linked to processing industries, logistics, and export markets to ensure food security and sustainable growth.
