Vietnam rail routes named among world's most beautiful train journeys

Two Vietnamese rail routes have been recognized in the 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards by Condé Nast Traveler as being among the 20 most beautiful train journeys in the world.

The Hue-Da Nang heritage connection, known as the Vietnam Central Heritage Connection, ranked 10th globally. This approximately three-hour journey traverses the Hai Van Pass, offering views of the Truong Son mountain range and the sea, as well as the Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon ecosystem and Lang Co Bay. The service includes cultural elements such as traditional music performances and local culinary offerings like banh mi and banh beo.

Additionally, the luxury rail service The Vietage by Anantara was ranked 14th in the global list. The recognition highlights the growing appeal of rail tourism in Vietnam for both scenic sightseeing and high-end travel experiences.
