Vietnam ranked 4th in top autumn travel destinations for 2026

Vietnam has been ranked fourth in a list of the top 15 autumn travel destinations for 2026, according to a report by Lonely Planet. The ranking is based on reader interest and guidebook sales recorded between late August and late September 2026.

Lonely Planet highlighted the country's diverse seasonal appeal, noting that the cool weather in the north is ideal for outdoor activities. Key attractions mentioned include the historic streets of Hanoi, the clear waters of Ha Long Bay, and the golden terraced rice fields of Sa Pa and Ha Giang during the harvest season.

While the southern regions experience warmer temperatures and occasional rain, the report suggests these conditions do not diminish the country's charm. Other top-ranked destinations in the list include Japan, Italy, and Thailand.
