Vietnam ranked among top 4 autumn travel destinations for 2026

Vietnam has been named the fourth top destination for autumn 2026 in a list of 15 trending locations by Lonely Planet. The ranking highlights the country's diverse landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and varied tourist experiences, ranging from the bustling streets of Hanoi to the golden rice paddies of the North.

In addition to travel trends, Vietnam has seen a significant rise in safety rankings. According to the World Economic Forum’s 2026 Travel and Tourism Development Index, the country ranked ninth globally for safety and security, marking an improvement of 18 places compared to 2024.

Other notable recognitions include Condé Nast Traveler naming two Vietnamese rail routes—the line connecting Hue to Da Nang and the luxury service The Vietage by Anantara—among the 20 most beautiful train journeys in the world for 2026.
