Vietnam readies 2026 Capital Law and dispatches rescue teams to Venezuela
The municipal government of Hanoi has completed preparations to implement Vietnam's 2026 Capital Law on 1 July. Local People's Council ratified 59 complementary resolutions to guide urban development under a transit‑oriented model, establish low‑emission zones and attract technology investment and skilled talent.
In parallel, Vietnam has mobilised international humanitarian assistance, sending 174 rescue personnel to Venezuela to support relief operations after two recent earthquakes in the state of La Guaira. The deployment underscores Hanoi's expanding cooperation in disaster response and reflects ongoing bilateral ties.
These moves highlight Vietnam's dual focus on domestic governance reforms and broader regional engagement.
