Vietnam Communist Youth Union Holds 13th National Congress and Leadership Elections
The 13th National Congress of the Vietnam Communist Youth Union was convened, drawing senior Party figures such as former General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh, Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng, former Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, and President Tô Lâm. Delegates highlighted the Union’s focus on science, technology, digital transformation and youth participation in national development. At the congress, Nguyễn Hoài Đảm, head of the VTV Youth Union, was elected to the Central Committee of the Union, joining 118 other members for the 2026‑2031 term.
On June 26 2026, the Government Party Committee hosted its inaugural Reporting and Propaganda Competition at the International Conference Center in Hanoi. Seventeen top contestants from fifteen Party committees, plus over 300 Party members and officials, took part. The event, opened by Nguyễn Thị Tuyến and other senior leaders, aimed to promote the implementation of the Party’s XIV Congress resolutions, emphasize the role of propaganda in the digital age, and strengthen ideological unity across the government apparatus.
