Vietnam regional updates: Tax revenues and infrastructure bidding

Various regional economic and infrastructure developments are reported across Vietnam. In Son La province, tax revenue for the first eight months has reached over 80% of the central government's estimate, totaling 3,064 billion VND from taxes and fees, alongside 766 billion VND from land use fees. Local tax authorities are focusing on digital transformation and stricter management to meet 2026 budget targets.

In terms of public procurement and infrastructure, several bidding results have been finalized. In Tay Ninh, a lighting system project for the DH3 road was awarded to Dien Hung Thinh after a competitor offering a 40% price reduction was disqualified for failing technical requirements. Additionally, the Long Nguyen - An Loc consortium won a construction package exceeding 4 billion VND for drainage and sidewalk works in Long An ward.

Other regional projects include a road upgrading project in Binh Loi Trung, Ho Chi Minh City, where Phu Tan Company secured a contract worth over 8 billion VND. In Dong Nai province, Nhu Khoi Construction was awarded a 2.772 billion VND contract for maintaining inter-village roads in Phu Rieng, achieving a 1% budget saving.
