Vietnam establishes new regulations for Central Steering Committee on foreign affairs

President Tô Lâm has signed Regulation No. 214-QD/TW, which defines the functions, duties, powers, and working relationships of the Central Steering Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Integration.

The regulation aims to ensure the synchronized and effective implementation of the Party and State's policies regarding foreign affairs and international integration. The Committee is tasked with advising the Politburo and the Secretariat on strategic directions, legal frameworks, and breakthrough solutions for Party diplomacy, state diplomacy, and people-to-people diplomacy.

Additionally, the Committee will oversee the implementation of key resolutions, such as Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW regarding the foreign policy of the 14th Party Congress, and Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on international integration. It is also responsible for reviewing administrative procedures and resolving inter-sectoral bottlenecks to facilitate smoother international engagement.
