Vietnam reports abandoned projects in Hue and fire risks in Ha Tinh

In Hue, a commercial and service complex project located at 243 Nguyen Sinh Cung has remained unfinished for several years. Despite an investment of over 200 billion VND and a prime location near the Huong River, the 12,080 square meter site has become a wasteland overgrown with weeds. The project, managed by Dong A Infrastructure Joint Stock Company, was approved in late 2018 with an expected completion date in early 2021, but construction has since stalled.

In Ha Tinh, four businesses operating near Vung Ang Port have petitioned provincial authorities regarding fire safety risks. A large outdoor wood chip storage area is situated in close proximity to several fuel, liquefied gas, and chemical warehouses. The companies, including Giang Nam Petroleum Co., Ltd. and Central Industrial Chemical JSC, expressed concerns that strong winds could spread embers or flammable debris, potentially triggering a major fire and complicating emergency responses.
