Vietnam reports tourism growth and new environmental visions
Vietnam has reported significant socio-economic progress and tourism growth. During the five-day National Day holiday from August 29 to September 2, 2026, the tourism sector welcomed approximately 6.5 million visitors, representing an 18% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
In terms of long-term policy, Party General Secretary and State President To Lam has signed Conclusion No. 75-KL/TW regarding environmental protection and climate change response. The directive outlines a vision for 2030 focused on strengthening environmental governance and disaster prevention, and a 2045 vision aimed at achieving sustainable development and a modern environmental governance system in harmony with nature.
Additionally, the country continues to reflect on its historical milestones, specifically the 1945 August Revolution led by President Ho Chi Minh, which established the current era of national development.
