Vietnam rescues crew from capsized cargo ship and tourists swept by wave

A cargo vessel (HP-4914) capsized on July 9 in the waters of Vân Đồn Special Zone, Quảng Ninh province. Five crew members were aboard; three were rescued and taken to Vân Đồn General Hospital, while two crewmen remain missing and search efforts continue.

On July 11, three father‑son tourists from Hà Nội were rescued after a large wave pulled them away from the shore at Mỹ Á beach, Quảng Ngãi province. The local rescue team, together with border‑guard units and nearby residents, retrieved the victims, who had clung to a life‑preserving buoy until help arrived. Both incidents prompted coordinated emergency responses from provincial authorities and rescue services.
